The Competence Center for Medical Technology (CCMT) aims to enable research and development projects in the field of medical technology and closely related areas. In addition, CCMT supports national research and education in medical technology. The foundation was established at the end of 2006 with the objective of further strengthening the sustainability of Switzerland’s excellent medical technology environment.
Founded by the University of Bern and the Bern University of Applied Sciences, the foundation is based on the concept of an independent hub that communicates specialized know-how, facilitates innovative ideas, and connects leaders from research and industry.
The foundation is financially supported by the University of Bern, the Bern University of Applied Sciences, and sitem-Insel AG.
